Questions
Chapter Points, explained
When do my points appear?
Points for purchases are added once your order is confirmed, and may show as pending until it's dispatched. Points for reviews and build photos are added once we've checked them against our review guidelines, usually within two working days.
Do Chapter Points expire?
Chapter Points don't expire at the moment. If we ever introduce an expiry date, we'll email you at least 30 days before it applies to your points.
How do I use my points?
Choose a reward on My Shelf or in your basket and you'll get a one-time code for your order. One Chapter Points reward per order. Rewards can't be exchanged for cash.
Do I get points for orders I placed before?
Chapter Points start from launch. Kits you've bought before still appear on your shelf, so you can mark them complete and share your builds to earn review and photo points.
What happens if I return an order?
If an order is refunded or returned, the points earned on it are removed. Points are earned on what you pay for kits, not on delivery.
How does Give £10, get £10 work?
Your friend gets £10 off their first byChapters order of £30 or more (it can't be combined with other discount codes). You receive 1,000 Chapter Points (worth £10) once their order is dispatched, and they're removed if that order is refunded. Open to UK residents aged 18 and over, one account per person. Referring yourself or creating extra accounts doesn't count.
What counts as a finished build photo?
Your finished build photo needs to be your own photo of a byChapters kit you've built. Photos may appear on our site with your first name. For Night Builder, make sure the lights are switched on in the photo.
Do I have to leave a good review to earn points?
No. You earn exactly the same Chapter Points whatever rating you give, and we publish every genuine review that meets our review guidelines, positive or negative. Reviews that earned points are marked as such.
Chapter Points are run by byChapters, a trading name of Bored Group Ltd. Points have no cash value, can't be transferred and are removed if the order they were earned on is refunded. We may change or end the programme with reasonable notice; points you've already earned will stay usable for at least 30 days after any change.
