This site is run by byChapters™, a trading name of Bored Group Ltd. Like most online shops, we use cookies and similar technologies, such as your browser's local storage, to make the site work and, if you agree, to understand how it's used.

Your choices

When you first visit, a banner asks whether you accept optional cookies. You can accept, decline, or choose by category under Manage preferences. Declining is as easy as accepting, and the shop works either way.

You can change your mind at any time using Cookie settings at the bottom of every page. You can also block or delete cookies in your browser settings, but blocking essential cookies will stop the basket and checkout from working.

Essential cookies (always on)

These make the shop work: your basket, checkout, sign-in, security and fraud prevention, your currency and country, and remembering your cookie choice. They're set by Shopify, which runs our shop, and by our payment providers at checkout. Examples include _shopify_essential, cart, cart_currency, localization and _tracking_consent.

Preferences (only if you allow them)

These remember choices that make browsing easier, such as the kits you've recently viewed, which we keep in your browser.

Analytics (only if you allow them)

These help us understand how the site is used, such as which pages people visit and where they leave, so we can improve it. They come from Shopify's analytics (for example _shopify_y and _shopify_s) and from the analytics features of Judge.me, our reviews service, and Appstle, which runs Chapter Points.

Marketing (only if you allow them)

These measure how well our marketing works. We don't currently use advertising cookies from companies such as Google or Meta. If we add them, we'll update this page, and they'll only run if you allow marketing cookies.

Features you choose to use

Some features store information in your browser to work when you use them:

• Chat (Shopify Inbox) keeps a note of the pages you've viewed during your visit, so it can offer help at the right moment, and remembers your conversation if you start one. This note is cleared when you close your browser.
• Wishlist and My Shelf remember the kits you've saved on this device.
• Shop Pay can recognise you if you've chosen to use it.

The Chapter Points panel loads code from Google's hosted libraries, so Google receives your IP address when it loads. It doesn't set a cookie.
