Some worlds keep coming back. Scroll enough book nook feeds and the same six settings appear, built and rebuilt by people on different continents. Here they are, with the kit we would hand you for each.
1. The Japanese alley at night
The world that started it all: a narrow street, paper lanterns, a vending machine glowing at the end. It is the original viral book nook and still the most-filmed. The one we stock is Kasuga Grocery Store, a tiled-roof corner shop with two red lanterns and a beginner-friendly build; Moss-Lantern Harmony Garden is its quieter cousin.
2. The library that goes on further than it should
Shelves to the ceiling, a ladder, a single lamp. Library nooks are the ones people build for their own bookshelf, which feels right. Ancient Rhyme Library is two candlelit floors; Dreamy Book Hall is three, with a staircase and a piano, for the long-project people.
3. Somewhere gothic
Fantasy is the most viral theme of the year: towers, potion shops, stained glass. Spire of the Wyrm puts a dragon in a lit window and takes an evening; Magic Shop is the green-fronted apothecary; Entropy's Flow is a wizard's wagon for builders who want a challenge.
4. The corner café
Warm windows, a chalkboard, chairs stacked for the night. Café nooks photograph beautifully because the light has somewhere to go. Warmglow Coffee in oxblood red, or the two-storey Bear Restaurant.
5. Under glass
Greenhouses and conservatories are the fastest-growing theme, especially with people who want calm rather than drama. Floral Reverie is a glazed conservatory laid for tea; Green Vine Cottage is the overgrown version with a round door.
6. The shop you wish existed
Bookshops, florists, tailors, jewellers: a shopfront with a lit sign and the door ajar. Art Book Store has a lightbox sign that glows on its own; Blossomary Atelier is the florist; Golden Section Line the tailor.
Choosing between them
Pick the one you would most like to walk into. Then check the difficulty and piece count on the product page against the evenings you actually have; our beginner's guide explains how to read them. Or answer three questions in Find Your Chapter and let the shelf choose for you.
