Somewhere on your shelf there's a gap shaped like a build we haven't made yet. A lighthouse interior. A record shop. Your grandmother's kitchen. myChapters is the page where you tell us about it.
How it works
Three steps, none of them complicated:
- Share an idea. A few sentences, a photo or sketch if you have one. No account needed.
- We group similar ideas into concepts. If eleven people ask for a greenhouse, that becomes one concept with eleven voices behind it, not eleven scraps of paper.
- Back the ones you'd buy. Signed-in customers can press I'd build this on any concept. That's the number we watch when we plan what to develop next.
What happens to your idea
Every idea is read by a person. The promising ones appear on the board as concepts, written up by us so nobody's name or private details end up published. If you ticked the box asking for updates, you'll get an email when your idea moves forward. And when a concept becomes a real kit, its product page carries an Inspired by myChapters note, because credit where it's due.
What makes a good idea
Specific beats grand. "A fantasy world" gives us very little; "a potion shop with a crooked staircase and bottles that glow" gives us a build. The scenes that work as book nooks tend to have depth (something to look through, not just at), a reason to be lit, and a feeling you can name. If you're stuck, look at the worlds people already love in six worlds people can't stop building.
One honest limit: we can't build other companies' worlds. Ideas that depend on a film, game or brand we don't have rights to get gently reworked into something original, or set aside.
Why we do it this way
Guessing what to make next is how shops end up with warehouses full of things nobody wanted. Asking is better. The board is public, the backing numbers are real, and nothing on it is seeded by us.
Got an idea on the bus and lost it by the time you got home? Happens to everyone. Write the next one down straight away at myChapters, or leave it in the comments below and we'll point you the right way.
