The Lit Interior

After dark the corner windows glow amber, and the café looks open for one last order.

Star Punch, Potion & Cake is a free-standing corner shop in espresso-brown wood: two glazed display fronts, a witch's-hat emblem on the roofline, a sea-green glass canopy. Past the red stable door, a glass patisserie counter, dressers of jars and bottles, a brass urn on a round table, a wheeled cake trolley, a chalked welcome board and two resident cats.

An advanced build of 450 pieces and seven to nine hours, though friendlier than the count suggests: much of it snaps together, most fine details arrive pre-made, and crisp HD UV printing means the signage and shelf stock need no paint. Raise the corner shell, glaze both windows, fit the canopy, then dress the interior shelf by shelf and thread the warm LEDs through.

For builders who prefer moody to pastel, and anyone drawn to the witchy end of cosy. At 24 × 21 × 19.7 cm it stands on its own base: a lit street corner for desk, shelf or cabinet.

How many pieces are in the Magic Café kit?

450 pre-cut pieces, plus printed papers, miniature furniture and an LED light set, with step-by-step instructions in a full-colour manual.

How long does it take to build?

Most people finish it in 7–9 hours at an unhurried pace. We rate it advanced: best for patient builders who enjoy fine detail.

How big is it when finished?

About 24 × 21 × 19.7 cm (width × depth × height). It stands on its own, for a desk, windowsill or shelf.

Does it light up, and are batteries included?

Yes: Warm-white LED, touch switch. Batteries aren't included, so have some ready for the moment you finish.

What else do I need to build it?

Batteries for the LED light (2 × AAA), which aren't in the box. In the box: tweezers, and the illustrated manual. A craft knife or fine sandpaper helps tidy edges.

Who is it suitable for?

An adult hobby kit, rated 14+ for small parts. It suits readers, miniature makers and anyone who wants a calm, screen-free project, or a gift that lasts longer than the evening it's opened.

How quickly will it arrive?
