Readers are hard to buy for, and never more so than at Christmas. They have the book, or they want to choose it themselves, or the one you found is the wrong edition. A book nook solves this by being about books without being one: a few quiet winter evenings of making, then a small lit world on the shelf they already love.
Will it arrive in time for Christmas?
Yes. A few kits are in stock now and leave the same day if you order before 3pm on a working day. The rest are on pre-order and due with us between late October and early November, and we send each one as soon as it lands. Every kit's page shows its expected dispatch month, so you can check before you order.

The one who loves Christmas most
Christmas Shop: two floors in forest green and gold, a tinsel tree, a snowman on the balcony and warm light behind every shelf. Built once, it comes out every December after that.
The one with the fantasy shelf
Spire of the Wyrm, a gothic tower hall under a stained-glass dragon, is a beginner kit of two to four hours. For something a little more involved, Magic Shop is a forest-green shopfront where the potions are always in stock.
The one who reads in cafés

A few practical notes
- Batteries are not included. Add a pack of batteries (see the product page, or ask us which type) and the gift is complete on the day.
- Glue is not included either. A small bottle of PVA with a fine nozzle and a pair of tweezers make a thoughtful extra.
